Emergency Management Services Primary Districts Map - Update
The New Hanover Township Board of Supervisors passed a resolution in 2023 and 2024 to update the Emergency Management Services Primary Districts Map for ambulance coverage. It is specific to the first ambulance that would be assigned to your home if 911 is called.

2015 International Fire Code - Open Burning
The township adopted the 2015 International Fire Code (IFC) in 2021. Please be advised that no person shall open burn any material within New Hanover Township without first obtaining a permit for open burning from the township fire marshal, in accordance with Section 5-231.5.B of the Township Code, and household trash and recycling must be disposed of through your waste hauler and may not be burned in accordance with Chapter 20 of the Township Code. Open burning is further governed by the provisions of Section 307 of the 2015 IFC.
