How to Use RecDesk to Register for Programs, Memberships & Facility Rentals

New Hanover Township uses RecDesk for all program registrations, memberships, and facility rentals. Follow the steps below to get started.

Step 1: Create Your Household Account

  1. Visit the RecDesk website using the link above.
  2. Click Create Account (or Register).
  3. Enter your household information, including address, phone number, and email.
  4. Add all family members to your household profile.
  5. Click Submit to create your account.

 Tip: Use an email address you check regularly—this is where confirmations and updates will be sent.


Step 2: Log Into Your Account

  1. Return to the RecDesk homepage.
  2. Click Log In.
  3. Enter your email and password.
  4. You will be directed to your household dashboard.


Step 3: Register for Programs 

  1. Click Programs from the main menu.
  2. Browse by category, season, or age group.
  3. Select the program you want.
  4. Click Register.
  5. Choose the participant from your household.
  6. Review details and add to your cart.
  7. Proceed to checkout and submit payment.

You will receive a confirmation email once registration is complete.


Step 4: Purchase Memberships 

  1. Click Memberships.
  2. Select the membership type.
  3. Choose the household member(s) who will use the membership.
  4. Add to cart.
  5. Complete checkout and payment.

Memberships will automatically appear in your household account.


Step 5: Reserve a Facility 

  1. Click Facilities.
  2. Select the facility you want to reserve.
  3. Review availability on the calendar.
  4. Choose your date and time.
  5. Complete the reservation request form.
  6. Add to cart and submit.

Rentals require a security deposit mailed to the township as well as a Certificate of Insurance at time of reservation.  Some rentals may require staff approval. You will receive an email once approved.


Step 6: Make a Payment 

  1. Click the Cart icon.
  2. Review your items.
  3. Enter payment information.
  4. Click Submit Payment.
  5. Save your confirmation receipt.

Step 7: View Registrations & Receipts

  1. Log into your account anytime
  2. Click Account or Household
  3. View registrations, memberships, and payment history
